Also it is best to make your slippers on the smaller side rather than larger. Always finish with a half double crochet into the join slip stitch of previous row this helps to give the increased shape required for a snug fit one extra stitch being created in each round. Continue working like this remembering to create the extra HDC in the previous slip to join space. Continue Until you can place the length of the slipper over your foot, to the base of your ankle.

Turn and chain 2 HDC across continue this till foot area is length you want. You want the slipper to be a snug fit, so when you get to the heel, put right sides together and slip stitch together.

This is the basic slipper. You can finish off here by completing 1 round of single crochet around the top of the slipper, and have a lovely pair of slip-on slippers. My niece loves these! I find 1 HDC in each base of chains is enough increase to give a snug fit for a woman. You can make matching his n' hers crochet booties. My husband and I are shown here modeling our cozy booties!

Always finish with a half double crochet into the join slip stitch of previous row this helps to give the increased shape required for a snug fit; 1 extra stitch being created at end of round.

Continue working Round 4 remembering to create the extra HDC in the previous slip to join and the base of chain st , until you can place the length of the slipper over your foot, from toes to the base of the front of your ankle. Here you will work the heel. This is the heel area.

Turn and Chain 2. You want the slipper to fit snug, so when you get to the heel, put the right sides together and slip stitch together. This is the basic pattern. Ch 2, HDC around slip into 1st stitch do not add in the extra stitches here, unless for making for a man who has wider calves I find 1 HDC in each base of chain on beginning of each round is enough increase to give a snug fit for a woman. Im excited to make these for my honey and me. When the cold comes best thing to wear around house. Thank you. Just starting, so far, so good. Ive never made socks before, so I'm interested in learning on this pattern I have 14 grandchildren, including 'mergers and acquisitions', so I have to start early, and I desperately need a stash buster! Thank you! Yes, I will be trying your pattern.

I want to make socks for my friends, for Christmas gifts. I have been trying to print this pattern, for these noot slippers for a long time. Could you please send it to me. I have made a pair of your slippers socks and I just love them Thank you for sharing your pattern.

Last year for Christmas I crocheted 36 hats and scarves for family and friends. I have gotten to the end of the heel length and I just cannot figure out from your pattern what to do next. Please, please, help me. At the heal, will there be a hole when we connect he two sides together? I'm confused on how that part of the pattern works exactly. How do I make these in larger size? I have someone with COPD and has a lot of water retention and I need a much bigger size in the width.

Thank you for your help. Love these. However, I'm allergic to wool. What size acrylic yarn would you use for this? This pattern is so confusing for "the basic pattern" i can never get 12 in the beginning. I don't understand the part where it says to put the right sides together and slip stitch together. Do I fasten off and go to the top of the slipper? If I do that, the slipper ends up with a point on the heel. These look so cozy!

I'm excited to start working on them. How much yarn do you need for this? In meters or yards is fine! I used your instructions to make slippers from my kids. I'd love to show you a picture. I used a much larger "yarn" so had to come up with my own stitch count. I also continued with the expanding on the cuff so it would fold over like slouch boots.

Kids love them. I tried this pattern but it didnt turn out anything like the pictures. Some of the steps were confusing to read.

Otherwise your boots look great!! If you do not know how to make a magic circle, chain3, slip to join and work 5hdc into the circle to start. Love those boot warmers. You have some excellent models. My mum is getting into crochet and the first thing i said to her was she could do me a pair of cloves now i know what her next project will be haha. I had a pattern for boot slippers ages ago and lost it.
